TEMPO Laboratory Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Digester System (TI-101 Series)
Laboratory COD Digester (15 Sample Tubes)
TEMPO Laboratory COD Digester is designed as per standard IS & ASTM methods for Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) digestion in wastewater, industrial effluent, and water treatment laboratories. Built with a heavy-gauge powder-coated outer cabinet and double-wall glass wool insulation for maximum thermal efficiency. Features an anodized solid aluminium block holding 38 mm diameter sample tubes, controlled by a high-precision microprocessor PID temperature controller with an integrated 0–120 minute digital timer.
Optional Accessories & Glassware Modules
Add mandatory reaction glassware, stands, and protection racks to your quotation requirement.
Borosilicate COD Sample Tubes (38 mm Dia)
Precision thermal-shock resistant borosilicate digestion reaction tubes designed for 40 mm block wells.
Air Condensers & Stainless Steel Support Stand
600 mm glass air reflux condensers with anti-rust stainless steel top alignment rack for stable operation.
Stainless Steel Water Bath / Tube Carrying Stand
Corrosion-resistant SS 304 carrying rack and cooling bath for safe post-digestion sample handling.
High-Precision Wastewater Digestion Technology
TEMPO Laboratory COD Digester provides exact thermal digestion of organic compounds in wastewater samples as per APHA 5220 / IS 3025 / EPA Standard Methods. The solid aluminium heating block guarantees uniform heat distribution across all tube positions, minimizing sample-to-sample variance and ensuring accurate colorimetric or titrimetric COD measurement.
Standard Testing Parameters
Industry & Lab Applications
- • ETP / STP Plants: Effluent and sewage treatment plant monitoring
- • Environmental Labs: Pollution Control Board (CPCB / SPCB) compliance
- • Chemical & Pharma: Industrial waste stream oxygen demand assessment
- • Research Institutes: Water quality research and organic load testing
Heating Block Architecture & Safety Controls
Constructed with a heavy-gauge mild steel exterior powder coated with chemical-resistant paint. The solid aluminium alloy block features embedded tubular heating elements that deliver fast thermal ramp-up and exceptional block temperature gradient stability. An integrated over-temperature safety cut-off prevents overheating beyond 180°C.
