High-Precision Multicell Rubber & Polymer Aging Oven (TI-MCAO Series)
Multicell Aging Oven 250°C (12 Isolated Cells)
The Tempo Instruments Multicell Aging Oven is specifically designed for high-accuracy thermal degradation testing of rubber compounds, elastomers, cable insulation, and polymers. Featuring isolated vertical cylindrical cells with independent air preheating coils and precision rotameter flow controls, it completely eliminates cross-contamination from volatile additives or plasticizer migration during simultaneous multi-compound testing.
Validation Packages & Accessories
Include calibrated flowmeter kits, sample racks, and 21 CFR Part 11 software packages for compliance audits.
Calibrated Air Exchange Flowmeter Pack
NIST-traceable master flowmeters with calibration certificates for 3 to 20 air changes per hour per cell.
21 CFR Part 11 PLC Data Logger
7" Touchscreen HMI with individual cell temperature records, user access tiers, and electronic signatures.
Dumbbell & Tube Specimen Holder Holders
Stainless steel suspended specimen hooks and perforated racks adhering strictly to ASTM D573 specimen spacing.
Multicell Thermal Degradation Testing Architecture
TEMPO Instruments Multicell Aging Ovens solve the fundamental issue of cross-contamination in elastomer thermal testing. When different rubber compounds containing sulfur, antioxidants, plasticizers, or accelerators are aged together in a standard single-chamber oven, volatile migration distorts physical property results. By placing samples in individual isolated cells with dedicated preheated air supplies, exact accelerated aging data is guaranteed.
International Standard Compliance
Key Engineering Highlights
- • Individual Preheating Coils: Air is pre-warmed to cell temperature before entering cell base
- • Precision Rotameters: Individual air exchange adjustment from 3 to 20 air changes/hour
- • Aluminum Cylindrical Cells: Heavy-wall aluminum block construction ensures ±0.5°C uniformity
- • Isolated Exhaust Tubes: Fumes from each cell exit independently through top ports
Cell Thermal Insulation & Structure
Each cell consists of an inner high-purity aluminum tube surrounded by high-density mineral wool insulation. The outer frame is manufactured from heavy-gauge epoxy powder-coated sheet metal with a stainless steel top plate. Individual cell caps with silicone gaskets seal each test cylinder tight.

Frequently Asked Questions & Standards Guidance
Standard single-chamber ovens allow volatile cross-contamination when aging different rubber formulas simultaneously. Migration of plasticizers or sulfur from one sample to another alters physical property changes (tensile strength, elongation). Individual isolated cells guarantee pure sample environment.
Each cell is fitted with an independent calibrated rotameter flowmeter and an internal preheating coil. Air intake is precisely regulated between 3 to 20 air changes per hour as mandated by ASTM D573 and ISO 188.
